Lewisburg - Aid
And a new project . . .
Sustainable Agriculture in the Sunderbans
The AID Lewisburg chapter was founded in the summer of 2007, originally as a means of supporting an independent project – the Jackfruit Project – started a few months earlier by several current and retired members of the Bucknell University community with personal ties to the Indian state of Kerala. Incorporating as an AID chapter allowed the original group to actively engage the South Asian Student Association (SASA) at Bucknell University and a broader segment of compassionate society, in Lewisburg and around the world. In 2010, AID Lewisburg voted to adopt a second project, the Parivartan Project.
